SOX BEAT LA, ORIOLES, AND BLUE JAYS
We start the season in Balto then play the Jays in Fenway so hopefully these games are previews. Here are the notable performances:

Ortiz and Crespo are having trmendous springs. McCarty is also contributing a bit which is really helping his case to be the ultimate utility man.

KNUBLE BEATS SABRES AGAIN
Another OT win and two more points. The Bs are still the 3rd seed, top in the Northeast Division, a point ahead of Toronto and Ottawa. The Magic # to make the playoffs is 4 with 10 games left. Here's the remainder of the schedule:

If we beat toronto twice, Ottawa and Tampa, we'kll be in good shape for a good seed.

BU UPSETS BC
BU won 2 of 3 in BC's rink and has advanced to the Hockey East semi-finals in the Fleet Center. Maine swept Merrimack, UMass swept UMass-Lowell, and UNH beat Providence. On Friday, BU plays Maine and then UNH plays UMass.

NEW ENGLAND TEAMS IN THE TOURNEY
#5 Providence College takes on #12 Pacific in Kansas city. If they win they'll play either Kansas or Illinois-Chicago.

#6 BC is also in the St. Louis region. They play #11 Utah. If they win they'll play either Georgia Tech or northern Iowa.

In the Phoenix region, #2 UConn plays #15 Vermont. The winner will play either DePaul or Dayton.
