PATRIOTS DAY WIN FOR SOX
NY Y*nkees 4
Boston RS 5
W: Mike "Still Timid" Timlin (1-1)
L: Tom "Flash in the Pan" Gordon (0-1)
S: Keith Foulke (4)

Great win for the Sox. Arroyo pitched adequately giving up 4 in over 6 innings. The bullpen kept the Y*nkees at 4 runs and allowed the Sox to tie the game up and eventually take the lead. The Sox chipped away at a 3 run lead by scoring a run in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. Ortiz and Mueller are starting to hit the ball well. Reese is about to cross over the Mendoza line and had his 4th error. For some reason, Francona rested Millar. Bellhorn was unavailable due to a shoulder injury. Pay-Rod got his first hit as a Y*nkee against the Sox in his last at-bat. He also had an error. HAHAHAHA!

The Man of the Game is Gabe Kapler. He went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI. Both RBI came with 2 outs. He knocked in the Game Winning run in the 8th underneath Derek "No Range" Jeter. Kapler did forget how many outs there were on two occasions but he more than made up for those blunders.

TY LAW ARRESTED
Boston Globe story

The highlights:

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -- New England Patriots cornerback Ty Law was arrested after he allegedly led police on a brief foot chase...The 30-year-old Pro Bowl player initially pulled over, but police said he sped off, prompting them to chase him about half a block until he stopped again. He then ran away from officers again but they caught up to him after a short chase. According to police, Law told the two officers "not to touch him because he is a professional athlete."

Okay, so two donut munching cops caught up with a Pro Bowl corner? riiiiiiiiiight. Shocker that it was in Miami. Phins fans must be pissed about how we beat them twice last year.

Law was charged with failure to obey a police officer and resisting an officer, both misdemeanors...Reached yesterday by the Boston Globe, Law's agent, Carl Poston, relayed Law's version of the events: officers were directing traffic, Law did not understand the instructions, said so, and was instructed to pull over. Poston claims one of the officers used excessive force and went so far as to toss Law's wallet in his face. Poston said Law did not consume any alcohol that night.

Poston said Law is considering filing a complaint.

Whatever. He might not even be a Patriot next year so this story might not mean anything.

Kevin Dupont wrote this scathing article urging Joe Thornton to surrender his Captain's "C." He needs to do something tonight. Score a goal, make a pass, hit somebody.
