SOX LOSE TO TWINS
So the Mayor's Cup is tied 2-2.

Pedro's line:
5 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, K, 0 HR

Notable performances:
Damon: 1/2, 2B, R
Daubach: 1/2, HR, R, 3 RBI
McCarty: 1/2, R, RBI
Burks: 2/4
Bellhorn: 2/4, RBI
Mendoza: IP, K

Timlin and Foulke both sucked.

The Red Sox have easily sold out every spring training game.

They play Pittsburgh tommorow.

BRUINS SHUT-OUT BY LEAFS
3-0. We really could've used a win for seeding here.

The Flyers lost and the Lightning won.

Here are the 5 remaining games for the Bruins:
3/27 - Montreal
3/30 - @ Carolina
4/1 - Washington
4/3 - New Jersey
4/4 @ New Jersey

The two New Jersey games will be tough. As it is, we're poised to play the Devils in the 1st round of the playoffs.

XAVERIAN FOOTBALL HONORED
XBHS football coach Charlie Stevenson will be inducted into the Mass. football coaches hall of fame. Matt Kelliher, Mark Kelliher, John Barker and Keith Willis were named to the south team in the Mass. All-Star game.

SOX LOSE TO SCUM 8-6
They will play again April 16. It will be intense.

ST Records:
Overall: 12-8 (.600)
League: 10-8 (.556)
Mayor's Cup: 2-1

Sox play Minnesota for the coveted Mayor's Cup tommorow.

I just shelled out $14.95 for MLB Radio. If you're a fan of a team and you're outside of their TV market, GET THIS!

NCAA PREDICTIONS FOR THE WEEKEND
Since most of my bracket is destroyed, some of these predictions will make no sense.

#2 UConn Huskies over #6 Vanderbuilt Commodores
I had Vandy losing in the 1st round but they've done well so far. UConn is too good though and will easily win this game.

#3 Pittsburgh Panthers over #2 Oklahoma State Cowboys
This will be one of the best games of the tournament. I desperately need this game in order to win my pool

I didn't have either Syracuse or Alabama going this far. In fact, I had them both losing in the 1st round. Just for kicks, i think the Cuse will win but I want Bama.

#4 Wake Forest Demon Deacons over #1 St. Joe's Hawks
I had St. Joe's losing in the previous round to TTU. I still think WFU will give them a good run and perhaps ebat them.

#4 KU Jayhawks over # 9 UAB Blazers
I had KU losing to UK in this one so this game means nothing for my bracket.

I had UNC winning the Xavier/Texas game. For fun, UT will win but I'd love to see Xavier win.

Same goes for Nevada and Georgia Tech. GT will win.

#1 Duke Blue Devils over #5 Illinois Fighting Illini
This is a no-brainer. Duke is just awsome.

BRUINS BEAT SENATORS
Murray had a goal and an assist. Toronto lost, Philly won, and Tampa Bay won. The Bruins are still 1st in the division and 3rd in the Conference. We're 3 points ahead of the Leafs and we play them tommorow night at the Fleet Center.

ARSENAL TIES CHELSEA
Good game for Arsenal in the 1st leg of the Champions League. We have an away goal which is a tie breaker. Arsenal host Manchester United in the English League on Sunday then play them again 6 days later in the FA Cup Semi-Final. They then host Chesea in the Champions League.

Notable performances from the D-Rays game will come in time or not at all.

SOX BEAT O'S 4-2
Arroyo did solidly and is poised to be the #5 starter.

Notable performances:
McCarty: 2/4, HR (4), R, RBI
Arroyo: 4 IP, ER, BB, 4 K
Malaska: IP, K

ST Records:
Overall: 11-6 (.647)
League: 9-6 (.600)
Mayor's Cup: 2-1

The Sox take on LA today.

WOMACK TRADED
Womack, who probably would have been the second utility infielder behind Bellhorn was traded for a 29 year old RHP named Matt Duff.

Nick Bierbrodt has opted to become a free agent.

TRANSACTIONS
03/18/04: Returned Rule 5 pick RHP Colter Bean to the Yankees and claimed LHP Frank Brooks off waivers from the Athletics.

03/19/04: Outrighted LHP Nick Bierbrodt to Triple-A Pawtucket.

Optioned RHP Edwin Almonte, LHP Phil Seibel and IF Kevin Youkilis to Triple-A Pawtucket.

Optioned RHP Jerome Gamble to Double-A Portland.

Reassigned OF Jeremy Owens and C Kelly Shoppach to minor league camp.

BRUINS COME FROM 3-0 DOWN TO BEAT TAMPA 5-4
Big win for playoff seeding. The Bruins are still atop the Northeast Division and are the third seeded team in the Conference a point behind Philly and two behind Tampa with a game in hand. They take on Ottawa tommorow night.

BC LOSES HEARTBREAKER
This game wouldv'e made my bracket very tough to beat as everyone in my pool had GT going far. Oh well.

Here are the other results:
Duke over Seton Hall
Nevada over Gonzaga (hurts)
Wake Forest over Manhattan
St. Joe's over TTU (hurts)
Bama over Stanford (hurts)
Syracuse over Maryland (hurts)
UConn over DePaul
UT over UNC (hurts)

Xavier over Miss St (hurts)
GT over BC (hurts)
Oklahoma St over Memphis
Illinois over Cincy
Vandy over NCSU (hurts)
